Revlon Super Lustrous: Toast of New York

New York. The name gives me such chills. Reminds me of a place where high-fashion meets normal-life. Oh, I so wanna be a New Yorker. Revlon's Toast of New York is yet again, another FABULOUS shade of lipstick where RED can look good to ANYONE without the fear of being too BOLD.

Toast of New York is a unique brick red shade that seems kinda burnt orange with a dash of spicy red hue. This is actually a lipstick that will match ALL skin-tones without that not-so-bright kind of feel. It has a waxy texture to it, making your lips look moist during the day. The shade is very neutral especially for morena bellas like me. Yes, many might think that this is a grown-up lipstick because the shade is very 90's but I think Revlon's Toast of New York have done justice to many brown-skinned ladies of all ages.

The lipstick comes in sheen when applied for one stroke just like the swatch on the right and comes in medium coverage when swatched twice. Actually, since Toast of New York has a waxy consistency, It didn't last me through meals. It's lasting power was just on the average, stayed put without lip primer for around 3-4 hours. Its unscented unlike others and is very very wearable. I suggest that if you are a person who loves the neutral world of make-up, this is definitely a MUST-HAVE in your STASH!
