MAC Archie Collection in Daddy's Little Girl
I can't explain my unreasonable urge to purchase this limited edition lipstick. Originally, I was eyeing on Daddy's Little Girl and not Ronnie Red but it wasn't available and I bought the Ronnie Red instead. When a friend of mine got home from the States, she give me a tiny bag and inside were a lot of chocolates but beside it was a black envelope that I was really familiar with. It was MAC. My heart was pounding into my chest as I remembered telling her that I wanted Daddy's Little Girl so when I opened the envelope dramatically excited, I squealed at the sight of that white MAC box and emphasis on Daddy's Little Girl. I feel so blessed having friends who knows me damn well.
Like Veronica Lodge, I am Daddy's Little Girl. I am the only daughter and I can tell that somehow, me and Ronnie are alike.
Basically, MAC Daddy's Little Girl is a purplish pink lipstick very similar to Candy Yum Yum but the latter is less blue based and a little less brighter. It has a satin finish which makes it one of my favorites. Of course, like all MAC lippies, it is highly pigmented and also has the MAC signature scent. It did not bleed and has an incredibly long lasting power aswell. The lipstick glides on smoothly and does not emphasize the chaps of my lips. The only problem I see with this lipstick is that, other than the packaging, there is nothing unique about this product. The shade is very common, its easily dupe-able as I can name several lipstick shades that can counter this tube. But still, I am really HAPPY with this tube. A collector's piece indeed.

MAC Archie Girls Collection in Ronnie Red
If there is a support group such as ALCOHOLIC ANONYMOUS for Makeups -- MAKEUP ANONYMOUS?? come on SIGN ME UP! Call me PARANOID or whatever but I really can hear eerie voices inside my head telling me to buy MORE makeup! While I was browsing on pages from my trusted makeup sellers online, I have stumbled with this MAC Ronnie Red. I instantly leaped out of my bed and called up the seller. I finally am about to purchase yet another tube that will accompany my Betty Bright. In such compulsion, I gave into my lipstick obssesion.
As a kid, i love reading these comics and I favor Veronica than Betty. VERONICA LODGE. Also known as Ronnie is the one and only daughter of the richest man in Riverdale. She's described as the tall, slender and attractive girl with long black hair. With lots of money to burn, she is often caught spending large fortune on shopping sprees as she favors the expensive, up-to-the minute sophisticated fashion. She enjoys the POSH lifestyle. She is also in constant competition with Betty on "archiekins" affection. Before I end up discussing everything I know about Betty and Veronica and turn this blog entry a rigmarole, lemme show you my most favorite (as of the moment) limited edition purchase. MAC RONNIE RED.

MAC Ronnie Red is part of the Archie Collection lipstick from MAC. All I can say about this lipstick is that, it is Definitely Ronnie. It is a bright fuschia pinky red with blue undertone. A raspberry like hint of lipstick, matte in finish. The texture is a bit creamier than your ordinary matte lipsticks. Unlike any other matte lipsticks, Ronnie Red have a smoother application. It does not get gritty after quite some time. For a red lipstick or a matte lipstick in general, this is ultra long lasting as it lasted 6-7 hours even when I ate lunch. When I removed it, there was a red stain (Ronnie red) on my puckers that was only removed when a makeup remover was used. Imagine the lasting power? I know. WOW. For a matte lipstick, it is not drying and glides very smoothly to my lips, lightweight and does not bleed easily. Too bad its limited edition.
So, what do you guys think? Is this the best red lipstick or what?

The WOO of MAC Ruby Woo
Now, Isn't that title weird or what?
I've NEVER been on the look out for that SCREAMING RED lipstick. In fact, I unintentionally frown at makeup artists who would offer me a RED lipstick. Yeah! RED is the universally flattering shade of lipstick that EVERY LADIES should own. Crazy as I was, I never had that courage to wear it. Most especially because, Reds though easy to work with, would entail a very detailed application so as not to look messy. But, since I look up to Kim Kardashian for lipsticks and other makeup products, I nervously went to a MAC Counter and asked for this. MAC Ruby Woo.
From Kim Kardashian, to Gwen Stefani and Taylor Swift, MAC Ruby Woo had complimented their skin tone and wow a lot of bellas. These ladies have fashioned a strong and independent personality that is what Ruby Woo is all about.
MAC Ruby Woo is a retro matte finish red lipstick from MAC's permanent line. Beauty Bloggers and Beauty enthusiasts would already know that it is a perfect in-house rival or dupe of MAC Russian Red. Well, intially, YES! Its almost the same. ALMOST!!! Ruby Woo is that Red with a subtle orange tint that softens the red making it more vibrant and complimentary to most if not all, skin tones. The other one, Russian Red, is a fresh, diva-like, bold, darker shade of red. Its quite one of those mature red, something I'd be wearing at night.
This might sound SILLY. I've used MAC Ruby Woo a couple of times already and still, whenever I see someone wearing it, I end up staring at her lips. I looks absolutely gorgeous. Here's a swatch of Ruby Woo on my hand, just to give you an idea.
I never thought I could fancy something this bold for my lips without going down a load of effort to keep it precisely on your lips. Consistency wise, Ruby woo, being the retro matte is a bit rough to apply, it leaves my lips with a well emphasized cracks due to dryness. Its very drying, so i strongly suggest you exfoliate your lips often and apply lipbalm prior to application. The product tend to cling tightly on those cracked part of your lips, hence the emphasis. At the same time, after sometime, you'll feel some flakiness on your lips -- NOT GOOD!! I have to go through the hassle of checking myself up on the mirror just to see if some flakiness had made me look like a witch. Haha! The shade is very opaque so one swipe will really go a long way. One asset of this tube that I undoubtedly adore is its ULTRA long lasting because of its ability to cling on your lips more than it clings on your coffee cups and clothes. The vibrancy of the red is not that overpowering that would make you look clownish. Its subtle orangey tint made it more glamorous and at the same time very much wearable. I reckon that red lipsticks are very attention seeking. Though this is a FACT, the attention is worth it. Just like what I'd usually say, any lipstick will look good on you, as long as you wear it with confidence. YOU'VE GOTTA HAVE THE GUTS TO ROCK IT. For Php1000 a tube, its still worth the keeps.

MAC Archie Girls Collection Lipstick in Betty Bright
Yeah! I know, I should have blogged about this MAC lipstick eons ago. but, i guess it'll never too late, most especially if your talking about The "infamous" ARCHIE lipstick. Earlier this year, MAC had launched a limited edition makeup line that most probably struck most ladies straight to their heart and gave most, if not all a lil' tickle on their giddy childhood selves who have been sleeping all the while. Despite the hefty amount I've just previously spent for a makeup haul, I found myself closing my eyes, taking a VERY deep breath and joining the BANDWAGON!!! Hence, I bought another lipstick.
Albeit, I promised to stop HOARDING a bulk of lipstick, MAC Archie Girls Collection lipstick in Betty Bright had hit my heart like a bullet. Keeping it bleeding until a tube of it will fall onto my hands and magically HEAL it. (Enough with those dramatic metaphors)

Sunny day lipstick: MAC Up the Amp
Think out of the box. Think purple. Think MAC.
If there is a reasonably-priced and reliable brand of makeup in this world, I'm sure MAC would be on top of the list. After a stressful 3-hour meeting at work, My workmates and I had decided to drop by at EDSA ShangriLa just to hang-out. Once there, my obsessive-compulsive instinct on make-up was again triggered. I dragged all of them with me at the MAC counter. I challenged myself to look for a very unusual but wearable lipstick. At first, I thought that was a challenge not until I met MAC Up the Amp. I was adamant in owning a tube that's why I purchased it.
(My MAC Up the Amp)
MY THOUGHTS:
What I love about it:
MAC is an industry standard when it comes to makeup. It's definitely not a waste of money when it comes to its prducts. I'm not a fan of unusual colors but Up the Amp had provided me a good reason to go beyond my comfort zone. This lilac purple lipstick glides on smoothly to my lips, provides a creamy smooth texture that lasted for approximately 4 hours without retouch (no lip primer used) and doesn't feel heavy on the lips. Since the product is highly pigmented (like othe MAC lipsticks), a little product goes a long way. The packaging is undeniably sleek and very convenient to use. I think it will match floral/pastel colored clothes instantly. I also think that this is best paired with earth-toned, natural-toned and smokey eye shadows. Perfect lipstick for a bright sunny day!
Overall:
What's amazing about this is how it flatters all skin tones (fair to dark) despite its purplish color. So if you want something fun yet wearable kind of lipstick, go ahead.. grab your own tube of MAC Up the Amp. I'll definitely repurchase in case it hits the bottom of the tube. It will be a staple find in my train case. Its a lipstick that speaks a personality. But, gals, remember! It's not only the lipstick that speaks your attitude. but, It's your attitude that turns mundane into something special.
